WHAT IS YULETIDE TREE GIFT?

Yuletide Tree Gift is a marketing company located in Boston that was developed to work with the Christmas tree industry to promote Real Tree sales through an advertising relationship with various nationwide companies that consumers frequent during the holiday season.

WHO FOUNDED YULETIDE TREE GIFT?

Lewis and Chris Randa created this unique marketing company in 2005. Yuletide seeks to draw on both Chris' lifelong love of Christmas, especially the tradition and nostalgia of picking out the perfect real tree (throughout his youth Chris worked at a Christmas Tree retail lot every season) and Lewis' connections with the nonprofit community over several decades. Yuletide brings together their mutual desire to link charitable enterprises with retail stores during the holiday season so as to promote the sale of real trees. The Randa family has operated a small school for students with disabilities for 35 years. Chris recently graduated from Penn State and was eager to move forward with this idea he and his father had formulated together.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Yuletide has developed a Christmas Tree Gift Card that offers savings at 39 national retail corporations. The savings that these cards offer are unique to this program and will be distributed with 40 million Christmas Trees during the 2007 season.

The cards will be shipped to Christmas tree growers who will then send along the cards with the trees sold to the Christmas tree retailers who will give the card to their customers with the purchase of a real Christmas tree.

WHAT ARE THE CARDS MADE OF AND LOOK LIKE?

The card is made of 100% recyclable plastic and are printed in Minnesota (not in China where artificial trees are made.). The card as a whole is about 7 inches by 18 inches. Each of the 39 perforated discount cards snap out to be used individually and has the company's logo and savings offer prominently displayed.

WILL THE YULETIDE CARDS BE DISTRIBUTED WITH ARTIFICIAL TREES?

Never. The purpose of this program is to promote REAL TREE SALES!

HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST ME?

Absolutely NOTHING. The participating companies pick up the costs of everything from printing to shipping. The potential outreach of getting their savings into 40 million households during the Christmas season is more than enough of a reason to make this program as easy for you as possible.

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

Aside from taking back the market from those artificial atrocities? The Yuletide Gift Card adds value to your trees. Once the customer redeems the savings from the card, the cost of the tree is essentially negated. We are encouraging growers and retailers to consider adding a few dollars to the price of their tree to reflect these savings to the customer.

WHAT ASSOCIATIONS WILL BE PARTICIPATING?

We have been working very closely with The National Christmas Tree Association and State Associations across the country. So in short, we expect everyone who is interested in selling more Christmas trees to participate!

WHAT IF MY STATE DOESN'T HAVE A CHRISTMAS TREE ASSOCIATION?

If you are a Christmas tree grower and your state doesn't have an association, that is fine. You do not have to order your cards through an association; you can go right to the "Growers Tools" section of our website and place your order.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO GET THE CARDS?

You may or not need to be a member of a state association, depending on the states association’s decision for the state in which you reside, though membership in one is encouraged as updates and other information about Yuletide will be made readily accessible through their mailings and communications with their membership. Non-members may order online or by mail if your state association allows non-member participation.

AS A CHRISTMAS TREE GROWER, HOW DO I GET MY CARDS?

All you need to do is go to the "Growers Tools" section of our website, fill out your information and click submit. We ask that you base your order on the amount of trees that you harvested during the 2006 season and then add to that if you anticipate an increase for next season.

I AM A CHRISTMAS TREE RETAILER, HOW DO I GET THE CARDS?

The cards will come right with the trees when the truck arrives at your operation. However, you should check with the farm that you order your trees from to make sure they are participating in the program and have placed their order. It is up to them to make sure you get your cards!

ARE THE CARDS ONLY TO BE GIVEN OUT WITH TREES?

No, we are also encouraging retailers to offer the cards to customers purchasing real Wreaths if they have more cards than they have trees. However, the cards by themselves must not be sold.

WHAT STORES ARE GOING TO BE ON THE CARD?

We must honor the non-disclosure agreements with all of the retail stores not to release this information until the cards go to print. They are all nationwide stores that are well known and will offer incredible savings you cannot find anywhere but on the Yuletide Gift Card that comes with a real Christmas tree.

CAN THE CARDS BE REDEEMED ONLINE?

Not all, but many of the cards will be redeemable online.

WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF ACTIVE CARD REDEMPTION?

The cards will be active between Thanksgiving through January 15th 2008.

IN THE SPIRIT OF THE HOLIDAYS, DOES YULETIDE SUPPORT ANY PHILANTHROPIES?

Yuletide Tree Gift has developed close relationships with the Christmas Spirit Foundation and donates a significant amount of our proceeds to them.

DOES YULETIDE TREE GIFT SUPPORT THE CHRISTMAS TREE ASSOCIATIONS?

Yes. Each participating State Christmas Tree Association receives the same contribution that the above mentioned charities do.

WHAT ABOUT TREES COMING FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES?

Arrangements are being made to have Yuletide Tree Gift cards included with trees coming into the Northeast from Canada.
